How To Download Mods For Witcher 3

The Weird World of the Witcher 2.0 [Mod] Posted about 3 years ago; 25 downloads; This makes alterations to the game story through dialogue. There is over 650 new lines of dialogue, all designed to flesh out major characters. Aug 17, 2015 - Because modding in Witcher 3 is exceedingly difficult. You have to download another program that checks each mod for compatibility errors.

Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt has been out a while now and not too long ago, CD Projekt Red opened the game up to the modding community. While there hasn't been nearly enough time for it to have a truly extensive collection of mods like Skyrim has, there still are a few out there that are well worth your time if you are on a PC.

Rest assured, there are no NSFW mods here, so you can browse through these without fear of prosecution.

I do question your judgement for having your PC out in the open though.

E3FX
Download

Perhaps the only complaint there was to be made about this game was that it wasn't graphically on par with what was initially shown to us at E3. Don't get me wrong, the game still came out looking gorgeous and remains one of the most graphically advanced games in the current generation, but if the E3 demos were anything to go by, it could've looked so much better.

The E3FX mod can get you precisely that. You'll have your game looking like what it should've been.

Fast Travel. From Anywhere!

Those of us who played the previous Witcher games know the pain of not having a fast travel option, so the simple fact that we actually got it at all in Wild Hunt meant we were praising the developers left and right.

But, the fact that you need a signpost to fast travel was a bit of an annoyance. It gets more and more irksome later on in the game, where you have multiple quests that you want to complete and having to constantly go back and forth between signposts can cause some unnecessary stress.

Enter Fast Travel from Anywhere which...is pretty self explanatory. Just open your map and select your destination!

Lore-friendly Witchers

This one is a personal favorite of mine. Perhaps it's not for everyone but, if you're a lore-nut like me, chances are you were a bit disappointed at how much more human-like Geralt looked in the game.

According to the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, Geralt looked far less human. His eyes in particular are described to be 'cat-like', almost glowing. His nickname, the 'white wolf' is attributed to his unnaturally pale complexion along with his pure white hair. The game unfortunately seems to have missed out on these finer details.

Lore-friendly Witcherslooks to fix just that, and it succeeds with flying colors.

No Auto Sword Sheathe-Unsheathe

Another personal favorite.

The previous Witcher games admittedly had a far more difficult combat system, including making the player manually pick their steel/silver sword depending on the enemy they were facing. Witcher 3 got rid of that mechanic by making Geralt draw the right sword in combat.

The fact that this feature was removed was a tad disappointing, since it removed a little bit of that 'hardcore' combat system. But with this mod you can make a return to those good old days!

Forge
No Fall Damage

Ever wondered about this? Geralt is one of those people you can describe as an ultimate badass. He kills monsters, defeated the freakin' King of the Wild Hunt, butchered a gang of highly trained mercenaries in Blaviken, bedded more women than I can count, the list goes on and on.

Give him a simple 5 feet drop? Yeah, he's dead. I know I've died more times than I can count by jumping over ledges in Novigrad, thinking there's no way I'd take any damage.

This particular mod fixes just that. Granted, it makes Geralt unrealistically impervious to any kind of fall damage. But hey, the man who defeated a spectral King probably should never be killed by misadventure right?

Galloping In Cities

Self-explanatory and oh-so-useful. I love the amount of detail put into the bustling cities in Witcher 3. I also appreciate the fact that the game is more realistic in the sense that you cannot gallop your horse around since you're liable to injure the pedestrians and be a complete asshole.

But the cities are huge, dammit! And not being able to gallop makes me want to bang my head against a wall sometimes. So this mod deserves all the praise it can get!

That's it for now! The Witcher 3 modding community is still young, but with more and more people getting involved, I'm sure we will be seeing more awesome stuff down the line.

Perhaps I'll do a NSFW version sometime after I test some...I mean when I get my friend of a friend who heard about it from another friend to test some out and tell me about it.
