In an open letter Ross' opens up about his upcoming 10th studio album Rather You Than Me.
“Rather You Than Me… 10 years + in this game and it has all lead to this moment right here,” he begins.
'Rather You Than Me' will be the ninth studio album from Miami-based rapper Rick Ross (debut with Epic Records). Slated for release in sometime in 2017, Rozay has released numerous singles in the last three months (none confirmed for the album) and in addition he had a commercially successful single on the Suicide Squad Soundtrack. Ross believes his album will relate to the real, not the fake. “This album is more than just another project for me. It’s a product of strength, perseverance, and determination,” Ross writes.
“Rather You Than Me is a testimony. My testimony, and if you a real nigga, no matter where you from, you can relate to this.”
According to Ross, he’s got a message to share. “I hope y’all feel this,” his letter continues. “Listen to the message, relate to the story, feel the pain and struggle in this lyrics – but more importantly, understand that there is a greater life on the other side of those nightmares.”

Serving as his first release under Epic Records, Rather You Than Me will follow up Rozay’s 2015 solo album Black Market, which was his last under his old label Def Jam Recordings. As for who we can expect to hear on the album still remains unknown, but we do know Rozay was recently spotted in the studio with Jay Z so let’s keep our fingers crossed.
