hope you can help. After contracting the security shield 2011 last night, I have followed BC's uninstall guide to remove Security Shield from my computer.
All went smoothingly well until we got to deleting the hosts file.
After deleting the hosts file, we clicked onto the windows 7 hosts file download link, which prompted us to save target asbut when we go to locate the etcto load the new hosts it doesnt exist.
but we can locate the etc when not trying to download the link.
is the hosts necessary? and if so how do I load the new hosts so that the removal of the virus has been completed?
